The prestigious Ritz-Carlton hotel chain, announced plans to open a Ritz-Carlton in 2016 in the Pearl Island, a private island 45 miles south of Panama City. This new hotel will consist of 80 rooms and will be billed as a luxury hotel.

According to information published by the portal Travel Press, the hotel will consist of 80 luxury rooms outdoors, and offer a spa, private beach club, three swimming pools and three restaurants.

The new Ritz-Carlton is located in a lush area in the Gulf of Panama, and will be accessible only by boat, helicopter or plane through a private airstrip, surrounded by pristine beaches and tropical forests with native flora and fauna.
