This time, looking to continue its expansion in Central America (where there are several shops), announced the arrival to Panama by the end of 2014 or early 2015.
According to information published by Revista Summa, Starbucks opening in Panama seeks to expand the number of restaurants of this type in the region of Central America. It is important to be very attentive to how sales would behave this franchise in the country, as it would be competing with colombian franchise Juan Valdez and Panamanian Café Duran, among others.
In an interview with Liz De Avila, director of the Corporation Franchise Americanas (CFA) in El Salvador, said the expansion in the region will be much more aggressive, and wish that this year from 11 to 20 cafes. To do this, aim to open nine cafes in the region.
According to De Avila, and signed contracts for two additional spaces in Guatemala and El Salvador. In addition, the first country in four evaluation sites and in the second, two new establishments.
The average daily transactions of these cafes is between 300 and 400. The brand employs about 190 people.
