In early January, the President of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, gave his first report to the nation after completing his first six months in office. In this event, highlighted some of the projects that are distinguished for their administration and to be developed in his government.

They have already been six months since the President of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, assumed the presidency. His quinquenial government plan seeks to benefit many Panamanian families through two of its most promising projects: Program 100% potable water and latrines zero, and also Hope of Ceilings Program, which includes improving housing benefit over 3000 families.
According to information published by the information portal Agencia de Noticias Panama, the investment the government will do in the next five years will be US $ 20,000 million. This will be reflected in the five-year plan which will be presented in January according to the president himself.
In the coming months of this year, expanding Treatment Plant Sewage Juan Diaz, and the design and construction of a new plant for wastewater treatment for the Western Sector with their sewerage systems will be tendered in Arraiján and La Chorrera.
Importantly, in housing, in the middle of last month, was approved the decree which increased to US $ 10,000 Housing Solidarity Fund for the initial subscription of new houses and through the ceilings of Hope Program, with a force employment of more than 1,800 employees deployed on 5 fronts, making the construction and improvement of housing benefit more than 3,000 families.
