The month of November, specifically the last Friday of the month, there is the so-called “Black Friday”, strategy used by businesses all over the world in which discounts that had never been seen throughout the year are offered. As is customary in Panama in recent years, many consumers are leaving their homes very early in the morning to make lines at the stores to get the maximum benefit of the very attractive offers and is the perfect opportunity to businesses to achieve high volume of sales.

* The Chamber of Tourism of Panama (Camtur), together with the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), seek to increase the attractions of shopping during the month of November with the launching of the “Viva Panama” campaign.

* The campaign “Viva Panama” will be aimed at attracting tourists especially in Central America, Colombia and the Caribbean, and even Panamanians living in the countryside.

* This initiative aims to benefit from the great amount of time off the month of November and that businesses do offer very good prices.

You’ve probably heard about the “Black Friday”. Is very likely that you have been part of this experience. In Panama, the “Black Friday” has been held since about 3 years ago, and is the date that all malls and businesses, from the largest to smallest, lower their goods so consumers can benefit from these discounts.

It is because of this that the campaign “Viva Panama,” which will be aimed at attracting tourists especially in Central America, Colombia and the Caribbean, and even Panamanians living in the countryside emerges.

According to information published by the information portal News Agency Panama, the Panama Tourism Chamber (Camtur), together with the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), seek to increase tourism shopping during November with the launch of this campaign. According to the president of Camtur, Jaime Campuzano, the initiative aim to harness the vast amount of days off that exist during the month of November, due to national holidays to increase tourism shopping and hotel occupancy, mainly in the Panama City.

During holidays or days that occur in the country on the occasion of the national holiday, many residents of the capital city travel within the republic and the idea is to use this situation to bring more tourists to do shopping tourism. Campuzano explains: “Our concern is that the whole month of November is a “Black Friday” in Panama, where visitors can take their time to make their purchases at low prices with comfort and safety, without having to stand in long lines or face agglomerations of buyers.”

Importantly, have already conducted talks with the owners of the major stores and shopping malls in the city to have special offers and other attractions during this campaign, so that visitors can feel they are really buying low prices.
