Panama seeks to become a smart city

Technology amazes us every day, and makes our lifes to be a little more simple. There are some applications that allow you to connect all of your outstanding everyday tasks making them easier. This is the case of an App called “Smartshi”, expected to be implemented in Panama in 2018.

Panama is one of the cities that will not be save from the massive influx of people, so implementing the technology that makes life easier and faster, will become a priority. This will be possible thanks to a new app called Smartshi.

According to information published by the information portal Summa Magazine, the Mayor of Panama expects for 2018 the capital to be recognized as a smart city, thanks to the implementation of different technologies such as Smartshi, which allows users to connect all their tasks so that it is easier to perform every task of the day.

This application is able to group all automated payment systems of the state in one place, so that users are not directed to individual institutions or agencies of each of them to perform the task. In addition, the application also has a more basic option like GPS tracking for Internet users to reach their destinations more easily, avoiding the dam, as do other international services.

Through this technological tool, users can inform other citizens (or the State) of the problems afflicting the residential sector or the city in general. All this goes along free internet project, which is currently offered in the capital city and in different areas within the country for all citizens.
