The number of tourists in Panama have increased significantly so far this year. According to a report by the National Institute of Statistics and Census of the Comptroller (INEC) and according to statistics from the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), the flow of visitors to the country increased to 1.9 million people, representing 15.1% from the same period in 2014.

Visitors entered by other ports have shown a significant income with 152.383 people during the first nine months of 2015, while in 2014 they entered there 103.952 visitors, reflecting a growth of 46.6% and an absolute variation of 48.431 additional visitors.
However, tourists in Panama are visitors from all over the world. Visitors from South America, accounting for 45.9% of the total, followed by American tourists, with 24.4%. Meanwhile, visitors from Europe, represent a 13.6%; Central America represents 10%, Asia 3.1% and finally the Caribbean, with 2.4%. The flow of tourists in Panama is growing, which contributes to the country’s economy in a positive way.
